'DNA Detectives' reveals the circumstances surrounding the brutal murder of Belfast pensioner Elizabeth Smyth in 1988. The documentary tells the story of the ensuing police investigation through a series of interviews and reconstructions. 'DNA Detectives' features contributions from Elizabeth Smyth's family together with the detectives who originally investigated the murder and those who opened the 'Cold Case' enquiry 17 years later.
